Victory Marks Oilers' First Trip to Final Since 2006
The Edmonton Oilers are heading to the Stanley Cup Final after defeating the Dallas Stars 4-2 in Game 6 on Tuesday night. Connor McDavid led the way for the Oilers with two goals and an assist, while Leon Draisaitl added a goal and two assists. Evan Bouchard also scored for Edmonton, while Jake Oettinger made 31 saves in the win.
The Oilers will now face the Florida Panthers in the Stanley Cup Final, which begins on Saturday night in Sunrise, Florida. The Panthers advanced to the Final after defeating the New York Rangers in five games.
The Oilers' victory is their first in the Stanley Cup Final since 2006, when they lost to the Carolina Hurricanes in seven games. The Oilers are now one step away from winning their first Stanley Cup since 1990.
